I have AMACKERS OF THE DEEP SOUTH, but am having difficulty tying him to SC Amakers/Amachers who know their lineage back to immigrant, Hans. Do you have any info on father of his (older?) half brother, James Albert Hughes who died in 1821 in St. Helena Parish? Do you also descend from John Jacob?

Hi. My name is Joshua Taylor and I'm from Hattiesburg, MS. I'm looking for a source of a copy of "The Amackers of the Deep South" by Leslie Maud Amacker Arnett for a friend who doesn't have a computer. If you can recommend the publisher's website or an online store to me, or even a PDF (Adobe Acrobat file) to me, I would greatly appreciate it.

I finally received a copy. There is no publisher. A relative had a copy and sent me one. I will be more than happy to send you a copy. I don't have it scanned in my computer as of right now (just received it a few days ago) but when I get it done I will send it to you. Samantha Lee

I have a book entitled "Here Comes The Amackers" which has a section "Amackers of the Deep South". This was written in 1957 by my mother's cousin, Eddie Amacker. My mother was Ruther Amacker, daugher of George Amacker I. Would love to get in touch with any relatives!
