We read you posting and are sorry to say that we don't anything about your grandfather. However, I am interested in knowing if there are any ties to the Ama family from Western Samoa. My Great Auntie and her brother (my grandfather) have Fanene as their middle name: Latafale Fanene Ama and Siaosi Fanene Ama. If you know aything, please reply.

Much thanks,
The Ama Family

I am also looking for the Ama family in Samoa. My father-in-law's American name is Henry Scanlan his Samoan name is Enele Scanlan. He was raised by Latafale and Enele Scanlan. His birth father is Siaosi Ama. As far as we know his birth mother is from Tonga. I am insterested in any information on her. I also would like to know more about our family in Samoa. I am married to Enele Scanlan. Please email me with any info. Thank you.

Aloha,
Siaosi Fanene Ama is my grandfather. My father is Henry Scanlan(Ama)and he was hanai from Latafale and Enele Scanlan. They moved to the states and resided in California. Latafale and Siaosi are brother sister. I new Latafale as my grandmother and was named after her. However, Siaosi was my father, Henry Scanlan, birth father. If you have any info for me please contact me. I am going back to my roots and wanting to know where I come from and where my family originated from.
