Hi, I am looking for the other family of Lupe Alvarado; I can't remember the wife's name but they had several sons, Ramon, Elias, Estaban I think and another one Roman; they are my half brothers. I have found very little in my searches. Lupe used to visit me in Rio Rico, I was 4 yrs. old the last time I saw him. Ramon was already an adult, Elias was a teenager in 1957 and the other two were close to my age.

Louis Alvarado (1907-1995.) The last time contact was made was in the 70's or 80's when Theresa's mother died and asked Louis for financial help. Louis was from Mexico, his mom's name was Ursula, who died in the 1960's. He lived in Texas, Indiana and Illinois.

I'm looking for my Mother's family from Sinaloa,Mex. My Grandmother was Juana or Florentina Valenzuela, born cerca 1886, in Agua Caliente or El Fuerte,Sin. Cerca 1903 she married my Grandfather in El Fuerte or Los Mochis,Sin, his name: RAFAEL OR MANUEL OR FRANCISCO ALVARADO, later changed to (Martinez or Manriquez, why I do not know). On March 16th,1904 or 1905 my Mother was born in Los Mochis,Sin her name is a problem because it was changed so many times, MARIA HERIBERTA ALVARADO OR MARIA GALVAN. Her brother was also born in Los Mochis,Sin, cerca 1906, JUAN GALVAN ALVARADO. Cerca 1909 my Grandfather remarried not sure if my Grandmother Juana died or they separated, his new wife was ROSENDA ALGONDA FLORES, at this time they had moved to MILPITAS OR EL QUEMADO DE MAZATLAN, about 30 miles north of MAZATLAN,SIN. Cerca 1917-20 my Mother immigrated to the USA, cerca 1923-25 my Mother married Samuel Romero of Santa Fe,New Mexico, they first lived in Riverside County,Ca, then in Colorado, New Mexico and finally ended up in San Juan Capistrano,Ca,USA where she died in 1979. The last letter we had from my Grandfather was cerca 1955 from Milpitas or El Quemado,Sin. My Grandfather never forgave my Mother for immigrating to the USA, he broke off all communications with her, would not reply to her letters. I would like to make contact her Mexican family from Sinaloa, so if anyone knows of these people please contact me. The following surnames belong to Sinaloa: VALENZUEAL, GALVAN, GALAVIZ, BRIONES, CLIQUERI, ROMO, CADENA AND MANY MORE.

Yup, it was the 1920 census I found that started me on the trail of Aniceto. I never had even a small guess of where he may have been from in Mexico until you told me. The info you're sharing is outstanding!

Does your mom remember anything about my mom's brothers Hector and Juan Luna?

Porfirio and Dolores are a match. I didn't have any info on the marriage, so this is good. Thanks!

I left Laredo a long time ago. I wish I was back there for a bit so I could at least visit the courthouse or library for records.

We are 2nd cousins 1x removed. My mom (Maria, Mareka, Maruka)-daughter of Jose Angel is your 1st cousin 2x removed. My mom also remembers your mom.

The census you found, was it the 1920 census?

Reyes and Herminia did live with Aniceto and his daughters, Andrea, Juana and Micaela did. Your mom, Adela is correct, Andrea, Juana and Micaela never married. Celso Celestino Alvarado who was Andrea, Juana and Micaela’s older brother also never married.

No, I don’t know if Cordero was Brigida’s maiden name or if it was a last name from a previous marriage. I don’t have any names beyond Aniceto or Brigida. I haven’t had much luck either but I am still researching. I did mix up the places from where Aniceto and Brigida are from. On Celso Celestino’s death record it states that Aniceto is from Durango, Mexico.

My mom also confirms that she remembers Tia Mica mentioning this. Andrea C. Alvarado’s death record states that Brigida Cordero is from Sombrerete Zacatecas.

Thank you very much for replying! It appears you are my 1st cousin 2x removed? I asked my mom (Adela daughter of Reyes) about the info in the census I found. She confirms that Reyes and Herminia lived with Aniceto as my mom believes they were orphaned by then. Jose Angel was also living there as was Juan, Andrea, and Micaela. My mom remembers Jose Angel. She also said that all Andrea, Juana, and Micaela never married. It could explain why they too were living with Aniceto?

Do you know if Cordero was Brigida's maiden name or if it was a last name from a previous marriage? Do you have anything beyond Aniceto or Brigida? I haven't had much luck.

My info is sketchy, but I'll try to fill in any missing pieces. This is great! I hope your info helps!

Thank you for your reply. Anastacio Alvarado Sr. is close to Aniceto Alvarado. As far as I know he never lived in EL Paso. But we did lose track of his daughter, Felipa Alvarado and granddaughters, Andrea Alvarado and Josefina Alvarado. Are there any Felipa's, Andrea's or Josefina's in your lineage?

I think we're related too! Aniceto Alvarado and Brigida Cordero Alvarado did have a son named Porfirio. They also lived in Laredo, TX. My mother is the niece of Porfirio Alvarado. She is the daughter of Porfirio's youngest brother, Jose Angel Alvarado. Aniceto and Brigida had eight children that we are aware of.

4. Dolores b 1883 d 1958

Alvarado family help

Hello, I am looking for some help here. I am working on tracing the Alvarado branch of my family tree. I have gotten as far back as my great, great grandfather Selso or Celso Alvarado. I have found records for both and further checking has led me to find that they are one in the same. Different spellings both in Mexico and in the U.S. He was born in April of 1845 probably in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. His wife Faustina Zolano and Solano (found multiple spellings for each as well) was born in 1863. They were married on 08 Nov 1871 in Santa Gertrudis De La Carbonera, Villa Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. My great grandfater Severo/Sebero(multiple spellings again) was born in Mexico on 01 Feb 1882. From what I can tell, it is possible that they had two other children, Serapio Alvarado Solano, 1872, and Jose Juan De Dios Alvarado, 1874. It seems they immigrated to the U.S. in 1893 and according to the 1900 US Census, other children are Canuto, Manuela, Isabel and Ponciano. Any help that anyone can give would be appreciated.
