Mary Lou Althaus Gibbs 83, of Plainfield, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2005. She was born October 8, 1922 in Indianapolis, to the late William and Pearl (Kelsey) Althaus. She retired in 1980 after 11 years in the printing and purchasing department for the Indiana Department of Administration. Her memberships and volunteer work include the Plainfield United Methodist Church, Hendricks Community Hospital from 1981 - 1998 and Hendricks County Meals On Wheels. She was the widow of Harold R. Gibbs. A funeral service will be Wednesday, November 9, at 11:00 a.m. in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call Tuesday, November 8, from 4-8 p.m. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
