Hi, I realize it's been over 5 years since this post. My husband's grandfather is Henry Allendorf from Marburg,in Hesse-Darmstadt. I'm not sure if this is your Henry (I believe there was another Henry Allendorf who settled in Cincinnati about 50-75 years prior to our Henry), but I'd be happy to share what I have with you. Our earliest documented Allendorf was Johann Heinrich Allendorf, born 1791.

I do not know my grandmother's name or anything about her. My mother Charlotte married Charles Hunter in 1947. At the time of my parent's marriage, they were living in Rhode Island. Walter Allendorf moved from Rhode Island to Coronado, California. He died approximately ten years ago.
