Yes, there are two Thomas Allenby-Mary Martin marriages. One in Louth in 1778 and one in Alford in 1817. Do you have any information that Thomas, born 1779 in Fotherby, died as a child, or are you surmising that because there is a second Thomas born in 1788? He grew up to be a surgeon in Alford but died in 1817. Some researchers have told me they believe Thomas (born 1754) was married twice--the first time to Mary Martin, then to Mary Smith--although no one has been able to document Mary Martin's death or the second marriage so I don't know. Mary Martin was supposed to be the mother of Thomas, Samuel, Waldegrave and Daniel. Then the second Mary was the mother of the rest.
