ALLENBAUGH in Galion High School, Crawford Co., Ohio

Hi all,
ALLENBAUGH is one of the surnames in the 1928 Galion High School yearbook (Crawford County) that has been scanned and placed online at http://www.genealogybuff.com/oh/crawford/galion/webbbs_confi...
There is a list of alumni included that spans 1871 through 1927. Every page has been scanned, including the advertising. Even the ads have a lot of history. There are many autographs in the book. The book has all proper names OCR'd so that you can do a surname search in the searchbox at the top of the page.
Hope this helps.
Bill

Adaline Allenbaugh Pointer 1854-1931

I have located a death certificate for Adaline Allenbaugh/Allunbaugh in St. Joseph, Buchanan Co. MO. She was born in Nodaway Co., MO. The Death certificate gives her parents as Peter & Jane Myers Allunbaugh. Her husband is shown as Jerry Pointer. She is listed as a widow on the 1900 through 1930 Censuses and living with her daughter and son-in-law Maud B. and John J. Wisser in all of these censuses. Another daughter, Myrtle Bradford, age 16, is on one census. It would appear that the two daughters of Adaline were not children of Jerry Pointer. I am trying to locate a marriage for Adaline to her first husband, who may have been a Bradford, and the marriage to Jerry Pointer which could possibly have taken place in Buchanan, Andrew or Nodaway Counties,Missouri. Any information about her marriages would be greatly appreciated.

13 September 1937 Tonawanda News
Three Die When Planes Collide Above Airport
Passenger and Sight-Seeing Ships Collide Over Bendix Field, South Bend, Indiana – Accident Occurred Last Evening
South Bend, Ind., Sept. 13 (U.P.) – The pilot of a sight-seeing plane and his three passengers were killed last night in a mid-air collision with another plane over Bendix field.
Passengers in the second plane escaped with slight injuries.
Witnesses said they believed the pilot of the sight-seeing plane did not see the smaller ship piloted by Charles Selge, 19, transport pilot for the Indiana Air Service Corporation.
The planes struck almost head on. The left wing of the passenger ship, owned by Lloyd Butz, 29, Mishawaka, was sheared off and tangled in the left wing of Selge’s ship.
Butz fought futily to retain control of his ship. It spun in wide circles and crashed about a half mile from the landing field.
Butz and his passengers were killed instantly. They were: Floy Allenbaugh, 38, Elkhart, Ind.; Mrs. Abbie M. Beebe, South Bend, Ind., and Fred B. Kidder, 50, South Bend.
I am searching for any information regarding the Allenbaughs from Meyersdale, Somerset PA. Are there any Pennsylvania genealogy books at the library I might delve into? From what I've heard my great great great grandparents helped to put Meyersdale on the map. They also built furniture for that area around the mid 1850s, even though they were basically farmers. I have pictures of Samuel Allenbaugh and Mary Myers Allenbaugh (originals) just go to Ancestry.com the tree is family tree in memory of Samuel Oliver Johnson (a wonderful dad). Samuel's daughter Melissa Allenbaugh married Samuel Lewtellus Nicholson, also furniture makers and farmers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
