just some update on this family....

I have found several obits in the Columbus Dispatch that match up to this family. Harold and wife Lujean and son Roy Abram. Harold's obit appears in the Cols Dispatch on May 4, 1955. He lists being survived by his wife Lujean, son Roy, 2 grandchildren, his 5 brothers and Sisters Edith Tinker and Vida Allen. He dies in Cleveland but is buried at Greenlawn cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.

Howard living at 117 N. Chase Ave on the Columbus Hilltop when he passes away March 26, 1970. His wife is listed as Nellie and son Jack. I know that Jack is the father of Mitch Abram who grew up in Georgian Heights area of Columbus. (There is also a Jack Abram who is the Columbus Greater Hilltop Area Commission Chairman in the early 1990's and I wonder if there is a connection). Jack's obit is listed in the Columbus Dispatch on March 28, 1970. He is buried at Union Cemetery in Columbus.

Brother William becomes a Quaker minister and lives much of his life in Hillsboro, Ohio. He passes away in Cassopolis, Mich on Oct 25, 1982 and his obit appears in the Columbus Dispatch on Oct 27, 1982. He is survived by daughter Ethel (Mrs Wayne Tone) of Cassopolis, MI; son Rodney of Upland, IN; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He lists his only surviving sibling as his brother Monte of Columbus. He is buried at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio.

Monte dies March 24, 1988 but I have no other information yet.

The youngest child, Jesse R. Abram dies May 28, 1960. HIs obit appears in the Columbus Dispatch on May 30, 1860. He lived at 180 1/2 Harris Ave in Columbus' Hilltop area at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Lucille and his siblings. It appears he has no children. It is listed that he was in the funeral profession, same as his nephew, Noble L Allen and probably with Noble Allen. His services are at the Noble All Funeral Home, same as most of the family, and he is buried at Sunset Cemetery.

I'd really love more information on this family.
