Looking for any info regarding Robert E Allen b. abt. 1850 married to Tennessee Hughes. He was born in Mississippi and then went to Tennessee and married "Tennie" Hughes. Earliest census I can concretely map is 1870 when he was married. In the 1860 census there are two candidates, both are Allen families that have a Robert born in Mississippi.

* This family is residing in Arkansas (though were previously in Mississippi) and Robert E ended up in Arkansas himself

Cons:
* Says father was born in NC and mother in TN, this doesn't match the 1880 census


Wondering if anyone has info on any of these Allens. I suspect the first family is the correct one, though of course the second could be the right one too. I can't find any more info on the family of Allison Allen in Arkansas other than that 1860s census, can't map them to another census record.

Trying to find anything to properly connect him to an Allen family and find information about that family.
