Any Allan family still in the area, there was a good few in the 1830/40 era. My main interests are in the parents of James Allan my G Grandfather born about 1834/5, I think i located him in the 1861 census at sea aboard the Aurora reg in Sunderland he was down as maried aged 27 and born in Kirkintillock.
