Dear Lesley,
There were two Harry Aldertons in the Sussex 1901 census; both had fathers who were called Arthur Alderton.
When you manage to get the marriage certificate of your Harry who married Ethel (Fishlock?*) the deciding factor will be the occupation of your Harry's father Arthur, unless the name of the father includes the father's middle name. To confuse things further, I wonder if your Harry may have been married as Harold Alderton as I suspect Harry was sometimes not a real birth name but a nickname, like Jack was for John.

I cannot find any marriages around that time (1880 - 1921) for an Ethel Fishlock but found just two marriage references (as below) which includes an Ethel in list of possible people who married the Harry; Maybe Ethel Parks had already been married and become widowed and therefore could have been born Ethel Fishlock....
Marriages 1911 Jan-Feb-Mar, Eastbourne Sussex, East Sussex, vol 2b, Page 121, people on page; Harry Alderton, Frederick J Coope, Frederick J Corpe, Harriet A Kennard, Ethel Parks.
Could not find any marriages for a Harold Alderton in the same time frame to an Ethel.
I looked at birth registrations for your Raymond Alderton;
