F. Harold Alden

1928-2004

F. Harold "Bud" Alden, 75, of Guernsey and Pahrump, Nev., died April 14 in Pahrump
from injuries sustained in an auto-pedestrian accident.

He was born May 3, 1928, in Kalispell, Mont.

He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1947.

Bud served in the Army with the 4th Infantry Division during the Korean conflict.

He married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Hamilton, on May 21, 1951.

He graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor's degree in industrial arts.

He and his wife of 52 years, Dorothy, lived in Cheyenne from 1958 to 1971, and then
they moved to Guernsey.

Bud was a supervisor for Peter Kiewitt and Sons and retired after 28 years of service.

After his retirement, he ran a Windshield Doctor business in Platte and Goshen
counties.

After their retirement, Bud and Dorothy enjoyed 18 years of extensive travel in the United
States, Canada and Mexico.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Veterans' of Foreign Wars.

He was a member of the Guernsey United Presbyterian Church. Bud was an avid
volunteer at the Trail Ruts Golf Course in Guernsey, Guernsey State Park and Preferred
RV Park in Pahrump.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Hamilton Alden of Pahrump; three daughters and
sons-in-law, Kathy and Mike Wright, Vickie and Bill Bonham and Mary Kay and Kevin
Bohnenblust, all of Cheyenne; and six grandchildren, Justin Wright, Hunter Wright,
Blayne Wright, Dylan Bessler, Caitie Bohnenblust and Kelly Bohnenblust, all of
Cheyenne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosamond and Harold Joy Alden; a brother,
George "Sonny" Alden; and a sister, June Fagen.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the General Spence National Guard Armory in
Guernsey.

Interment will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Guernsey.

Military honors will be provided by the Guernsey VFW and the Wyoming Army National
Guard.

Pallbearers will be Ernie Brazzale, Chuck Frederick, Doug Frederick, Joe Hohnholt, Bill
Reffalt and Joe Norfolk.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Anderson and Bruce Heinbuck.

Friends may contribute to the Alzheimer's Association or Guernsey United Presbyterian
Church.

Following the services, a reception will be held for family and friends at the Guernsey
United Presbyterian Church.

Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
