Hi Cousin, I remember Maude Wells very well. She was my grandfather's sister. Maude's mother died during childbirth not Maude's birth or my gfather's birth. Her mother's name was Bennetta L. Tweedy b. 9/2/1863 she married my ggrandfather Thomas H Wells in 1881. She had Maude and John Dalie Wells, mygrandfather. She had another child and she died May 31,1888. Her parents John Tweedy and Cynthia Stubblefield took a real interest in Maude and John or Dalie as he was called. When it came time for them to go to high school the Tweedys would move up to Doniphan, in Ripley Co. Mo. and stay the winter so their grandchildren could have a high school education as there was not one in Pocahontas, AR at the time. Thomas married again to Lively Dalton in 1890 and they had 4 children:Lillie, Willard, Clara, Mable. My father was the 4th of 5 children. Helen. Marvin, Margaret, Joe Dalie and Frances.
