I too have been looking into my ancestory. I need to know where our ancestors came from before setteling in Jalalpur. My grandfathers name was Raja Ram Ajmani and my grandmothers name was Bhagwanti Ajmani. My grandfather's had a brother named Bishan Das. They all resided in Jalalpur Kiknan, Dist. Jhelum. My father's name is Chandar Parkash Ajmani and he had a sister named Kaushalya Devi. See if you or your parents have any memories of those names. There were other unrelated Ajmani's in that village. Shall correspond further if you have any interest. Thank you.
Vinod

It is conjectured that the Ajmani ancestors came from the state of Ajman in the United Arab Emerates (UAE). From there, they migrated to Sindh, India (now Pakistan) and settled in the village Cherian Mochian. From there, they further migrated to Pindisaid Pur, Tehsil: Pind Dadan Khan, Distict Jhelum, Punjab, India (now Pakistan). In 1947, when Pakistan was partitioned from India, they further migrated to India: mainly Delhi , Central lands of UP & MP, and also other cities. From India, some have further migrated to various cities in USA, and other parts of the World.Ajmani’s are doing well in IT, Medical, Finance , Industy & Buisness ..... Sameer's search

Personal Notes

It is conjectured that the Ajmani ancestors came from the state of Ajman in the United Arab Emerates (UAE). From there, they migrated to Sindh, India (now Pakistan) and settled in the village Cherian Mochian. From there, they further migrated to Pindisatpur, Tehsil, Pind Dadan Khan, Distict Jhelum, Punjab, India (now Pakistan). In 1947, when Pakistan partitioned from India, they further migrated to India: mainly Delhi and Guna, MP, and also other cities. From India, some have further migrated to various cities in USA. By and large, Ajmanis have done well in the areas of medicine, engineering, business, and industry. One of the Ajmanis was the Indian ambassador to Germany and other countries, and also personal assistant to the late Prime Minister Indira Ghandi.
