My Grandfather's name was Jairam Ladharam Ajmani, who expired recently. We have settled in Pune, India even before partition i.e.before 1947. He was also in Burma for quite some time before partition[probably before the 2nd world war].We are basically from a village in Gujarat district, now in Pakistan.

It is conjectured that the Ajmani ancestors came from the state of Ajman in the United Arab Emerates (UAE). From there, they migrated to Sindh, India (now Pakistan) and settled in the village Cherian Mochian. From there, they further migrated to Pindisaid Pur, Tehsil: Pind Dadan Khan, Distict Jhelum, Punjab, India (now Pakistan). In 1947, when Pakistan was partitioned from India, they further migrated to India: mainly Delhi , Central lands of UP & MP, and also other cities. From India, some have further migrated to various cities in USA, and other parts of the World.Ajmani’s are doing well in IT, Medical, Finance , Industy & Buisness ..... Sameer's search

Mahinder Jee,

My family is from village Sulaimnan (nick name Salema), tehsil Phalia near Gujrat in Pakistan. One of or elder Ladharam Ajmani went to Burma and as my mother recalls, perhaps one person died in Burma because of hardship.

My grandfather was Harnam Das and great grandfather was Kahan Singh Ajmani. His father was Ganesh Das.

We migrated to New Delhi after partition

Thanks,

Mohan Ajmani
