I am Wilhelm Aichroths youngest(not that young!) grandaughter and Laura's Aunt (My younger brother James was her Father). My name is Judith and I grew up in the bakery in london that was founded in 1910 by my grandfather. My father was Emil Aichroth, the son of Wilhelm and Martha Schambacker. They married in/about january 1914. My grandfather was previously married and had 3 other sons and 2 daughters. He died in 1951 in london and Martha (Ma) died in/about 1960. My parents continued to run the bakery until 1983 when they retired. According to UK archive records there is a second marriage later in 1914 between a Wilhelm Aichroth and Daisy Wenham. I think Daisy may have married a brother (they were both known as wilhelm!)or cousin. I also think I have an old photgraph of Eugene, Bob and Richard and thought they were my second cousins?? A cousin in law came to England from New York in 1971 (to my wedding)and i think her name was Margaret. I have only recently started researching my family tree (not as easy at it seems!) and Daisy Wenham was a bit of a mystery when I came across the records. Are u researching your family tree too? Happy to send any info from this side of the pond.

Laura, the bakery was started by Wilhelm Aichroth, my grandfather, born 1893 in Germany. I live in New York. Wilhelm married Daisy Winhem from England. Her father owned a chain of pubs there, and that's how they met. Wilhelm and Daisy had 3 sons, Eugene, Bob, and Richard. They came to Bayshore, New York in the 1920s.

Hi, Just replying to your post to give you a little more info about your family. Your grandmother's name was Marion Hunt (maiden name). I am the daughter of one of the 3 sons, Dennis Aichroth. Also, the daughter you mentioned isn't named Linda, but Dianne. She and Doug Aichroth still live on Long Island in Islip & Bayshore. Hope this helps!

hey laura, i am also an aichroth and live in the states. my grandfather was richard aichroth and i beleive my grandmother was marion. my fathers name is also david aichroth. he had to 2 brothers, doug and dennis and 1 daughter linda aichroth. are you familiar w/ any of these names?

Hello!!
My name is Laura Aichroth, i am 17 and i live in the UK in between london and oxford.
I am an Aichroth on my father's side; his father, Emil Aichroth, was german, yet never lived there or spoke german. He was a half-brother to Jery, Bill, Ernst and two sisters who's names i dont know.
Before the war the familly moved to england, set up a bakery in london and my grandfather , Emil, was born.
I know that Jery and a few of the other siblings ( i think Bill and the Sisters) moved to the US. The rest of us are still in the UK - i dont think any Aichroth's are living in Germany.
So theres a brief family outline!!!

The only Aichroth's i am still in touch with are Jery's children, Paul and Jill Aichroth, my second cousins. So id would be nice to keep in touch with some of you lot!

Charles Aichroth died Saturday evening at the home of his parents, North Sixth street, near the city limits, of consumption, aged 32 years. Deceased was a son of Godfrey Aichroth. He was a paintmaker by trade and the past few years worked in a paint mill at New Haven, Conn. Some time ago he was taken ill with grip, which developed into consumption. Deceased was a brother to Tilghman and Mary Aichroth, of this city.

I am looking for information on Bill (William), Nell (Ellen J. ??) and Helen Aichroth who were living in the West End of Pittsburgh during the early 1940's and perhaps much longer. Nell was either a very good friend or related (a cousin?) to my grandmother Nora Keen Panco Sibert. Any information on this family will be greatly appreciated.'

My name is dorothea aichroth and my father's family came from Stuttgart to Philadephia in 1886 and my father was born there. His name was Frederick William Aichroth and he had a brother names william frederick and sisters named Marie and another sister who came to the U.S. called Anne. My father was born in 1886 and he was the youngest sibling. I am now 80 and live with my niece who is now 49. We are both very interested in finding relatives. dorothea and cynthia

I am 80 years old and my father Frederich Aichroth was born in Philadelphia in 1886. He had a sister named Clara ( who married a man named Kikker) who lived in Virginia. Other names of Aichroth relatives that i know are Kikker,Haufler. ( I knwe a little boy nicknamed "Booblie". My aunt was named Ann, my father's brother. I am Fred Aichroth's granddaughter. He was born in Pa. about 114 years ago. His parents came from Germany. His daughter Dorothea,my aunt ,is still alive.
I know he had a relative named Will Kicker.
Any possible relationship?

My grandfather was Fred Aichroth born in Pa. about 114 years ago. His parents were from Germany. He lived most of his life in Chicago and died there in 1960. He married my grandmother in about 1920. They had 2 daughters, Dorothea and Helen.

Hi!

We were amazed to find Aichroths on the net! My great-grand-father came to England from a village near Stuttgart in Germany, in the early part of the last century. Like to hear from any other Aichroths out there! After all it is a very unusual name even in Germany!

the "Aichroth" Message Board. I am of German
ancestory as my grandparents came to the US
in the early 1900's and settled in
Philadelphia. I have lived in California just
about all my life. E-mail me as I have even
