hi margaret, well it's been a while since i've logged on and it was nice to hear back from you. you enquired about my grandmother henrietta who was the daughter of kaisau ah sue (from kaisau's second marriage) my grandmother had only one sister by the name of ellen (whom married george churchwood) and two brothers by the names of john and henry ah sue. my grandmother henrietta's mother's name was paugata anae from falelatai and her mother was aigata masoe who was from asau. you also mentioned how the name roberts came into the picture. henrietta was the only one in her family that was apparently adopted by an english judge who's last name was roberts, she took up this surname until she married my grandfather by the name of lepupa tuitama from faleasiu, upolu. my father and all his brothers took up their mother's maiden name roberts instead of tuitama due to family issues back then. we are also known as tuitama family. the rest of henrietta's brothers and sister were all known as ah sue. by the way i didn't receive the message you apparently sent to me. could you please resend and if you some how know how we all connect, let us know. it would be nice to know some matai family titles in your husband's family as well as family names and villages. must sign off now and hope to hear from you soon.
from ruby

Surnames: Anae, Roberts, Ah Sue
Hi Ruby and all
My name is Paugata Makerita Anae Pita Roberts Ah Sue. I think my name says it all. I gathered from everyone's message that we are all related. My father held the Anae title and the last one from our family (Paugata's line) to have had it. I know quite a bit about both my great grandparents and the history of the Anae, Roberts & Ah Sue because I was born and raised in Faleasiu and my dad was the one looking after the Anae & Satomai affairs back home. Kaisau's line is very limited unless one of us can trace it to China. As of Paugata's line I think I can share it with you guys. Paugata and Kaisau Ah Sue married and you are quite right about Paugata's line. Here is the info just for the time being: Paugata married Kaisau Ah Sue. Their three children were Sinipao (Frank Roberts), Henrietta Tuitama Lepupa of Faleasiu (your grandmother) and Helen (Churchwood). Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Hi Paugata... wow... weird, your name contains many of my cousins, aunty and uncle's names.

Your father must know my uncles and aunties many who still live in Satomai. Actually I was in Satomai Faleasiu last week. My Grandfather has the Anae title, Lepupa Anae Tuitama and he was married to Herietta Ah Sue (Roberts). My grandmother had 2 brothers and 1 sister, Anae Sinapao Ah Sue (married to Kuka Peseta), John Ah Sue (Married to Faamailie) and Helen Ah Sue (Churchward). I have much info on the Churchward, Tuitama side of the family and would like to compare notes on our great grand mother Paugata, with heresay that she was was adopted by Vaaile and a Mr. Dickson (Dixon)

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Micah Tuitama-Roberts

Talofa and Hello to Everyone!

I was just reading everyone's input and contacts regarding our family lineage. Very interesting. I hope to learn and understand more of our family tree on this site. By the way, my name is Paul G. Roberts, son of Kaisau Pita "Poutalimati" Roberts, and my late grandfather is Pita "Anae" Ah-Sue Roberts. My great grandfather is Sinipao "Frank" Ah-sue Roberts, son of Kaisau Ah-sue. If I am somehow related to you, my greetings and peace be with you. I hope everyone will find what they are seeking, and may our family tree of the Ah-Sue generations continue to grow and prosper.
