Surnames: Aganoor. Stocker. Vernon
This gentleman orginated in Bombay and had some connection with the EIC I belive. He died in 1862 whilst living in Old Cavandish Street,Middlesex where he appears in the 1861c as a gentleman. When he died he was buried in a common grave in Kensal Green cemetary but a MI appears on the stone on the grave next to the common grave along with a MI to a William Henry Stocker died 1868. The grave on which the stone stands was brought in 1862, after Agannor's death, by a Mrs Amelia Mary Vernon. Does anyone know anything about any of these people. My 3xgrandfather was also buried in this grave in 1867 with no MI despite have living family who could have buried him. Why?

A.Aganoor appears on my family tree on my Armenian side of the family. My grandmother was Armenian and married an englishman /Alexander Wakefield 25 years her senior in Rangoon Burma. dont know if A stands for Aviot? Aganoor's mother Annie Vertannes(Manook) was my grandmothers sister , one of 5 and a total of 9 children. Her family came from my great grandfather,George Stephen Vertannes(of Julfa Isphan Persia) in Mandalay Burma. the family walked to India from Burma and ended up in Calcutta India where my parents George Samuel Wakefield(deceased 1970, Poona, India) and |Lucy Yvonne Harcourt Cooze(Mother, deceased) were settled after their marriage in Rangoon. We are two sisters, Patricia and Georgina(1948) and i live now in Toronto Canada and Pat(1944) still lives in India. There is some connection to Shicorian family but i dont know where?

I am interested in your Aganoor posting and any genealogy of Armenians you may have to exchange with me. I have some Vertannes on my tree too ! I am working on the translation of an Armenian tree chart, it is from 1605 - 1900s...translating name by name, looking for Aganoon clues etc ...

I am Armenian from Calcutta...my Armenian grt grandfather was born at Rangoon too. Thank you David
