I am researching my husband's family tree and I'm looking for info on ??Stanley?? Agacinski who married Anna Tomachejska. One of their children was Joseph Agacinski. He later shortened his name to Agnew. I am not sure if ??Stanley?? had also shortened his name. Joseph died in the 1970's in Michigan. I would greatly appreciate any info that anyone might have. Thanks.

I accidentally saw your e-mail regarding your search. Although my name is spelled differently now it originally was Agacinski. My father was John Alphonse Agacinski and he had several relatives in Michigan. His brothers were Emil, Carl, Joseph and a sister Lucille. I can't remember my grandfather's first name as he died when I was very young. We lived in Bayonne and Jersey City , N.J. I know very little about his side of the family but I remember that he had relatives in Michigan. Please contact me by e-mail if you wish.

My father was born in 1918, Walter Joseph Agacinski, in Detroit. His parents were John Agacinski and Josephine (nee Piotrowski), both born in Poland. He changed his name in 1945 to Joseph Walter Agerson when he and my mother, Helen Louise Riggs were married. His siblings were John, Jennifer, Victoria and Francis (female). He died in 1973. My father's grandfather was Valentine Agacinski.
