I know that the Aeby/Aebi line mainly came from Swizerland.
My Great great grandfather ( my grandfathers; grandfather )
came to the USA on 10/11/1866 aboard the Arayo from LeHavre His name was Karl Charles Theodore Aeby. The history I have goes back to 1566 in Swizerland. I only have the direct line no brothers or sisters.I have seen the old spellings Aby in Bern, Swizerland and figure that there are many different spelling. Maybe there is a connection

Carol,
I thought I would let you know that I found Charles F Aebi in the 1910, 20, & 30 Census records.
In 1910 he was living with Magdalena Brunie and her family.
In 1900 it looks like he lived in Carroll County, Ohio.
1920 show him in Canton, Ohio with his wife Elizabeht and children Esther May and Charles.
