I am interested in contacting descendants or anyone with knowledge of the Aeberli family from Switzerland who immigrated to western Canada (Red River Colony) in 1821 who subsequently settled in Wisconsin.
Thanks.

My name is Edwin Aeberli. My father was Edwin Aeberli, GF. Edwin Aeberli, grandfather wasHans Jacob Aeberli. My GF Edwim emigrated from Muhlebarg (or) Muhleberg Switzerland (map difficult to read) in 1899, settled N. Haledon NJ.
The Aeberli family had lived in the same house since 1680 . The village of Muhleberg is near Affoltern and seven miles south of Zurich. I have my Aeberli family line back to 1600. I
got this from the Bibliothek in Zurich. One book was missing or it could have been carried back to 1500. The Aeberli name goes back to at least 1366 for I have a family coat of arms that
indicates the name spelled as it is now in 1366. This coat of arms comes from a church wall near Aeugst. My research seems to indicate that all the Aeberli's originated from this particular area, approx 10 x 20 miles immediately south of Zurich. Intermarried with...Glattli, Zindel, Bliggenstoffer, Baur, Waber, Gallman, Strasser, Muller (maiden names of all my grandmothers back to 1600) Edwin George Aeberli
