(son of James Young (d.1824) who m. Ann Porter (d.1827) of Parish of Burt, co Donegal, Ireland.
Before emigrating to Delaware Co PA ? (c.1840-60 with daus Ann and Dorcus ?),
they resided at Dundrain, (Parish of Burt, co Donegal ?) near Londonderry, Ireland.
They had 3 daus,
*Ann (see 1870 US census)
and *Dorcas (see 1870 census) who died unmarried,
and Sarah Young who m. Robert Rule.

Richard Young's brother, Alexander Young b.26 Aug 1798 d.1884,
emigrated to Philadelphia landing July 15 1821.
m.1stly, June 1822 to Rachel DUNBAR, b. Ireland
m.2ndly June 1830 in Philadelphia, Pa to Margaret TORRENS, b. Ireland
He was a successful Philadelphia merchant (distiller) and brought out his brothers and sisters.

George Adair, the father of John George Adair (1823-1885), did NOT died in the United States. John George Adair died in 1885 in the United States. George must have died before his son and he definitely died in Ireland.
