Seeking data on ancestors/descendents of Robert Ackerman of Brooklyn, N.Y. (b. ca. 1845, d. 16 June 1883), m. Elizabeth Frey or Fair (b. ca. 1845, d. 29 Jan. 1884). Their children were George (b. ca. 1862), Catherine (b. Mar. 1865, d. 20 Dec. 1937), Robert (b. ca. 1866), William (b. ca. 1868), Charles (b. ca. 1873?), Benjamin F. (b. 2 July 1873, d. 24 July 1921), Samuel "Frank" (b. 9 May 1876, d. 20 May 1948, m. ca. 1898/99 Charlotte Rosengarten, dtr. of Herman Rosengarten and Emma Schonwald), and Mary (b. ca. Sept. 1879). Several of the children were orphaned and the siblings were not close. Frank's dtr. Beatrice (b. 29 Nov. 1915) was my mother. The earliest record I have of this family is the 1870 U.S. Census for Brooklyn.
