Seeking any information on medical doctor J.N. Achuff who was US Army surgeon (post phyician) at Fort Kenay, Alaska Apr 1868 to Sep 1870, then stationed at the Presidio, San Francisco, California as acting assisant surgeon Oct 1870 to Jan 1871.

I have found no matches in census, city directories, military rolls, etc. so please don't hesitate to share even what might seem like obvious information.
