There is a reunion in Prince Edward Island in Canada this year of descendants of the Fathers of Confederation (the men who founded Canada in the 1860s), which include Col. John Hamilton Gray, whose daughters included Mary Stukeley Gray Abbott, who married William Abbott of Montreal. Children included William Hamilton Abbott and Mary/Maisie. The descendants of John Hamilton Gray (including me, a great-grandson of Mary`s sister Bertha Peters) will be meeting in Charlottetown in the second week of September 2014. The only Abbott descendant I have ever encountered was John Kimble ``Kim`` Abbott who I met in 1995 at his home near Perth, Ontario. It would be great to get in touch with the Abbott descendants in England to let them know about the reunion. Maybe someone would come and join us!
