My family tree goes back to Tjosvoll & Åadland in Akra, Karmoy, Rogaland, Norway. These two "farms" were big settlers in South Dakota and Southern Minnesota. Others went on to Oregon & Washington state to use their fishing skills they had from the north Atlantic. My relatives settled in Granite Falls, Mn. My Åadland tree goes back to Nils Hanssen Åadland born 1743, married 1774 to Anna Olsdtr. Would like to share info and help if I can. Bill

I don't believe that your greatgrandmother is in the same Aadland family, unless she is a cousin. My greatgrandmother's siblings were: Jacob 1866-1924 Kristoffer 1868-? Martin 1872-? Gjertrud Karine 1875 Anna Lovise (My Great-grandmother) 1878-1959 Janna Sofie 1880-? Ole This is all I have listed

Hi, Bill. I have a Cora Jeanette Aadland born 1 September 1910 in Minnesota, Roberts County, South Dakota, died February 1995 in Casselton, Cass County, North Dakota. I don't know her parents's names, but she's in my family tree because she married into the family. On 7 July 1932 she married Thorval Idso in Fargo, ND, and had eight children, which I can list if you want. Does she sound familiar?
Thanks, Andrea Idso
