Looking for any help on the Galeazzi family. One member was a physician to the Pope and one was an archeitect around the turn of the century. No official date. thank you.

Count Enrico Pietro Galeazzi, the architect, designed the seminary building of the North American College on the Janiculum Hill, not far from St. Peter's basilica. As I remember, he built a sepulcher for himself in the crypt a couple of levels below the chapel; however, I do not know for sure whether or not he was actually entombed there. You can check with the North American College website for confirmation.

Let me know if you are still looking for information on the Galeazzis. My family is descended from Giuseppe and Angelo Galeazzi. Giuseppe was an accordion maker in Italy and was awarded a gold medal for his efforts from Victor Emmanuel, the last King of Italy. His cousin was Riccardo Galeazzi-Lisi, personal doctor to Pope Pius XII.

I have my grandfather's accordian made by your grandfather. My family would like to have it displayed in a museum in California--close by so family-members can view it. Do you have any suggestions? My personal mail is davicf@comcast.net
