I am descended from a NZ branch of the Schoch family. My Great-Grandfather, George Adolphus Schoch was born in Zurich, Switzerland. I don't know when he was born yet but he he died in 1913 in NZ. His father was Professor Gustave Schoch, also born Zurich, Switzerland. He was Professor of Zoology at the Swiss Techinical University. I hope this is a connection. It would be exciting wouldn't it?
