I am looking for someone with access to the Swiss Surname register to look up my surname of HUMPHREY. My great grandfather, ALFRED HUMPHREYcame to the US in 1848 at age 8, with his parents, from Switzerland, according to marriage records, obituary and many other references. However, there is no reference to where in Switzerland he came from, or his parent's names. The obituary refers to them first settling in Ohio. Thank you.
