hello bob,
my known-w-certainty line goes to henry miley, also spelled myly, etc., 1st recorded in SC 1758. Believed to have come from or thru PA. I speculate he may be a descendant/relative of PA miley (?sp) family that came from zurich area of Switzerland ca1700. We hope to visit that area next spring. Do u by chance have contacts or family info from there? Apparently your gggrmo lived only abt 21 yrs? I note she is from kusnacht a town maybe 5-10 mile north of meilen. Was your elliker family from there also? Would like to hear abt the elliker fam-mennonite by chance? I've read that the town of meilen is pronounced meile (my-lee) in the local dialect. Thus, I wonder if that is the place of origin of our shared surname. Perhaps direct correspondence would be simpler:
