In the United States the surname was spelled in various variations (is that redundent or what?) but always beginning with a "C".

LDS has it spelled as Kunferman in both Switzerland as above and in "Bergen---Swiitzerland

I am specifically searching for Anna Barbara Kunferman born 2 April 1871.

In the US FED> Census of 1900 it is listed that she had been in California since 1891. She married John Dolf, date unknown, place unknown and their first child was born 1892.(John Jr. "Jack".) Jack left California for Nevada where he spent the rest of his life.

Anna Barbara's husband was also born in Switzerland and immigrated in 1885 to Humboldt County California.
