I just translated my great grandmothers birth certificate from Arraiz Spain and I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has photos of this area, stories about this area, or knows about the families in this area.

My great grandmothers full Spanish name was Justa Huarriz Arrocua (?)

Looking for Castillo from Navarre area, perhaps Esparza mid to late 1800s-early 1900s.

Maria Castillo, I do not know her maiden name, was born in Esparza 20 February 1871, later lived in Mauleon, France died in 1919 in Los Angeles, CA. She was married to Francisco Castillo and had 4 children, Frances, born in France, Lina, born in Spain, Gabriel, born in rance and josephina-later known as Mary Jo born in USA.

Checking records in Hernani I found a marriage of Martin MARICHALAR (of Yrun) to Josefa Teresa MENDIZABAL. He is the son of Juan Bautista MARICHALAR and Manuela FOMPES. She is the daughter of Miguel Ignacio MENDIZABAL and Maria Barbara ERASQUIN. This marriage occurred in 1818 so it is well before the marriage you would be looking for between Jose Antonio and Joaquina Antonia Olascuaga. It is the only one in the indexes with that MARICHALAR surname - so they may have been married in another town. I did not see that surname on the birth indexes either.

Francisco Xavier Marichalar was married in Monterrey, Mexico in 1798,,,,On his marriage certificate it says that his parents were Jose Antonio De Marichalar, natural de Hernani, Navarra and Joaquina Antonia de Olascoaga....I am searching for any information on Jose Antonio and Joaquina. They are my 6th Great Grandparents....I don't know whether Jose Antonio and Joaquina had siblings, nor who they parents are nor when and where they were married...

Maria's parents are:
Juan Miguel Erreguerena & Mariana Errafuriz

Hi Tommy,
Chason is my maiden name, and I have been seeking the first Chasons to arrive in America for years. My line has been traced back to eastern NC in the mid-1700's. The names are Joseph, John and James Chason. My branch moved to Spanish Florida in 1806.
Please tell me where your Parthenia and her family came from, and where they settled upon their arrival here.
I have seen the listing of Chason in the Hall of Names website that gives Navarre, Spain as the first place the name is found.
I hope we can help each other unravel what has been the mystery of the first Chasons to arrive on American soil.

Chason family of Navarre Spain

I recently discoverred that I have spanish ancestry through the Chason family line. I am a descendent of Parthenia(sp?) Chason who cam to the US colonies in the 1700s as aan indetured servant along with her father, mother, and several siblings. I am looking for info about this surname and the family. Is the Chason family still around in Navarre? If any responses, please reply in English. Hablo muy poco español. Podría usted hablar inglés por favor. (see it is bad).

I am trying to research my paternal family name of NUNCIO.
I've traced my great-grandfather PEDRO NUNCIO back to
NUEVO LEON, MEXICO born there 1850's...Greatgrandfather
lived his life in San Antonio, Texas. USA. Some of his family lived in Louisiana. USA.
Does anyone know if the name NUNCIO is many in SPAIN ??
If so what part ??? Greatgrandfather's wife was a TORRES or TORREZ. I am new at this research and ANY HELP is very appreciated.... Thank You.

Looking for info on Garde's & Belio's from Isaba

My abuelo was Leandro Garde - son of Pascual and Maria (Garde) Garde. I know his brother's children still live in Isaba, but don't know much about siblings.

Also, my abuela was the daughter of Juan Domingo Belio and Miguela Ederra (he was her 2nd husband). I don't have info on the relatives prior to my great grandparents generation and would appreciate ANY help or information.
