OBTAINING BIRTH OR DEATH CERTS IN SPAIN/MADRID

Trying to find out where to write to find a birth certificate on my Great-Uncle (brother to my Grandfather)he was ron Dec 4, 1880 in Carazo, Spain...or a death certificate, he died in Madrid on April 8, 957...any suggestions would be appreciated.
