I am looking for history on my ggrandfather Antonio Gonzales Prieto,born 5-13-1867-69. Born in Consejo de Castropol,Asturias spain. I immigrated from Spain as a young man to Havan Cuba.never returned to Asturias. to a Domingo Prieto and Minerva Tancreido( I believe not sure)

Prieto family harvested olives,cork and other legumes. They would deliver to small insudtries located on the shores of many little rivers in the area of oveido and nearby Galicia. They made their deliveries in some knid of Canoes called Jangadas which were moved about with varas.

He passed away in El Paso Texas on October 25,1950

I am searching for more information on my husband's g-grandfather. His name was Manuel Ovalla Martinez born October 11, 1880 in Gijon died July 7, 1961 in Tampa, Fl, USA. He immigrated from Cuba on March 5, 1904 on the Olivette. He was traveling with a sister, (the name is slightly illegible) I think her name was Lilia Martinez. I have tried obtaining a birth certificate from Spain, they said it was not found. On his death certificate his father's name is listed as Rosendo Martinez, and his mother's name simply as Ovalla. Anyone have any information on this family? Or can anyone tell me where I might be able to find more information? I already have copies of his naturalization papers, death certificate, ship records, census records (from the U.S.). I have also been unable to find records of how he got from Spain to Cuba. The ship records are from Cuba to the U.S. Does anyone know where those records would be or what route would have been taken at that time?

I am seeking any relations of Claudio Diaz-Tarano and Sabina Suarez-Sanchez. She was from the town of Llerandi. They went to Cuba roughly around 1914 with cousins who later returned to Spain.

Claudio's parents were Ramon Diaz and Amalia Tarano, who died in childbirth. Their children were Claudio, Ramon, Manuel, Josefa, and Amalia.

Sabina's parents were Francisco Suarez and Angela Sanchez. She too died in childbirth, and their children were called Sabina, Josefa, Francisco, Jose, and Manuel.

I am looking for any information on my family in Spain. My grandfather was Antonio Telena born 29 March 1889 I think in Cangas De Onise. From searching I think his father was named Ramon Telena and his mother was Carmen Sanchez. He had a brother Manuel Telena born on 13 May 1899 and died on 11 Aug 1963 in Stockton California USA. My Grandfather also died in Stockton on 17 April 1968. That's about all I know about them. I am searching any information about my G-Grandfather who is recorded as born in Ovieda, Province of Asturias, Spain about 1825. I have not been able to find any confirmed record of his parent or other family members. I believe 'Rojo' is his mother's name according to the manner of naming in Spain and 'Bautista' must then be his father's name. All records about him here in Australia have used 'Rojo' as his surname which makes tracing him in Spain very complicated.
He migrated to Australia on the ship "Tartar", arriving in 1853, and in 1856 he married and raised a family of 12. He was a miner in the village of Snake Valley, northern Victoria before moving to Melbourne where he died in 1902.
I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who believes they may have a connection to me or can some suggestions on solving our difficulties with Spanish BDM's

I am looking for information about my husband;s great grandfather Basilio Valdes Mont. He was from Asturias and left to go to Guatemala around 1880. He bought land in Guatemala and married Trinidad Valle. They had seven daughters. In 1900-01 they traveled to Paris, France for Basilio's health. He died 1901 after going to Asturias. His ashes were retured to Guatemala by his wife and daughter.

I am looking for the descendants of my great Aunt Maria Artimez Menendez and her husband Jose Muniz. They were from Salinas, Asturias, Spain. In 1912 they came to America with their two children, Jose and Maria, and lived in Illinois for a few years. I was told they had two more children in the USA, but I do not know their names. Around 1918 they all returned to Asturias, Spain. My Great Aunt caught the Spanish flu and died shortly after their return. Her name was Matilde Tames Palomo, daugther of casto Tames and Julia Palomo. She was born in Arite (1887) in Asturias but the name of the town is no longer able to find, quess it might have change. The only thing I know, is that it had a river runnig near by.

I am looking for information on my great grandfather Rafael Fernandez. He was from Asturias, in Spain. He moved to Cuba, where he married Carmen Cienfuegos and had my grandmother, Carmen Piedad Fernandez Cienfuegos in Santiago de las Vegas, Cuba, in 1893. So he had to have arrived in Cuba prior to 1892 or thereabouts.

D. Sandalio Diaz Fernandez
Que fallecio en su casa de Feleches (Siereo) el dia 10 de Noviembre de 1961 a los 83 años de edad despues de haber recibito los Auxilios Espirituales

Su desconsolada esposa, Doña Obdulia Riestra Alvarez, Hijos, Hijos Politicos, Hermanos, Nietos, Sobrinos y demas familia. Ruegan a sus amistades y personas piadosas la encomienden a Dios en sus oraciones y se dignen asistir a la copduccion del cadaver, hoy sabado dia 11 a las 4 de la tarde, desde la casa moruoria (Moldano) a la Iglesia parroquial de Feleches (Siero) donde se celebrara e; fimera; de cuerpo presente y a continuacion al traslado al cementerio de dicha parroquia donde recibirá cristiana sepultura por cuya asistencia y dichos actos les quedaran eternamente reconocidos
La familia no reciba.
Nos se despido el duelo.
