He was born around 1700?. He accompanied Father Serra when he came to California to establish the missions. He was in San Diego in 1782. He was married to Maria Valezuela Silvas from Villa Sinaloa, Spain. Their children were Leandro and Ramona.

How should on proceed to track the roots if I only have (i) the name; Joseph Galindo or Joseph de Urrea, (ii)date of birth May 15th 1720, and (iii) place Zaragoza (no detail where in Zaragoza though.

Is it a needle in a heystack to search for church records (the online one do not provide inforamtion). How should one proceed?

Further, there is an old family story that he escaped Spain, changed his name from Marquis Joseph de Urrea to Joseph Galindo d'Urrea. Suprisingly, he married a french huguenot (Marie Pirou) in London in 1750.

I am researching my great grandfather, Francois Regla or de Regla form Hecho or Echo. He married Andrea (or Andressa) Serrano, a seamstress and was disowned by his family. He and Andrea went to Oloron-Ste. Marie in Bearn in Southern France where they had two children, Pierre (my grandfather) and a daughter who died in childhood.

Jeanne

Nueva York. Oprime aquí:Cargo ships

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~prraices/cargo_ship...

Ariel Blondet
