I am looking for information on antono(antoine) villatoro (viator) born abt.1730 in malaga, spain. married to theresa gomez born abt. 1732 malaga, spain. they were from alhaurin de la torre. Also gonsalo de prados b. abt.1741 malaga st. james. he died 23 feb 1808 in st. martinville louisiana. He married theresa gussman b. 1739 malaga,s. st. james died 5 july 1814 st. martinville louisiana. I need help with these family to start trace in spain. They went to louisiana in 1778 with other familys to populate louisiana. antoine died before this. Thanks for help.

Hello, I too have started tracing Antoine Villatoro. I have concluded that the father Antione had signed a contract for his family to come to Lousiana and my assumption is that he knew he was ill and could not make the trip because of the timeline of signing the contract and the actual time of departure which was about 6 months afterward. All of the note say..."His widow and children" I could be wrong, but that's what it seem. I can't get anything before that time. I am hoping for someone out there who knows!
