Dear Rudolfo,
Very interesting bits of history. I am an Aguirre through my father Francisco Galindo Aguirre born in Mexico in 1901, I believe in the town of Saltillo and the state of Nuevo Leon. My fathers ancestors also immigrated from Spain and were Basque. He had two brothers Leon and Benjamin and a sister I believed named Concha.
While growing up in Texas and Colorado, I heard many anecdotal stories about my ancestors, ( how many were based in fact I've often wondered), some of which could tie into pieces of information that you have provided in your history. They were large landowners, supposedly atleast in part, due to Spanish landgrants. Many of my fathers uncles and relatives did not survive the Mexican revolution and my grandmother and atleast the three boys immigrated to the US to escape that conflict and settled in Brownsville and Coleman, Texas.
Does any of your research tie into my fathers name in the early 1900s?
I'd love to hear from anyone who has information on the subject.
