Yes, we do need specifics in order to help you. Plus, the use of abbreviations, etc really do not help on this international board. Many people will not understand what you mean when you use just a single letter or abbreviations.

Adrian & Merle Desmidt may have been the family which my parents bought property from and still live on that same property. thought it was very interesting to learn how Abraham DeSmidt had his doings listed in a book called sheboygan county (sketch)biographical pictoral history, printed in early 1900's. j verhage

Hi, Matt. We live in the Rochester area where my husband's grandparents lived. His great-grandparents were Johannes Kooman and Sara Bouwens who came from Oostburg in Zeeland. They lived in the Williamson NY area and were farmers. I think you may be related to my husband.....very distantly!

I apoligise for my mistakes
Yes I have more information for you .
My grandmothers husbands name was Huibrecht Roelse she was born on 1885 in koudekerke her parents names were Daniel Wielemaker and Johanna Jobse she worked as a dienstbode and they were married on the Friday 24/04/1903 they had 11 children all of whom have passed 10 girls and one boy and the boy willem was a twin to tannetje .
Iam just new to all this but I am getting there ,I have now finally learned how to go steps futher in the search it seems you have to keep regeristing every time you want to go back in time .
Any way I do apoligise for my mistakes and will let you know any thing I find ,if there is any thing you want to know that I might have that you don't please feel free to ask ,my sister has just returned from Holland and they were going to see if they good find out more about mums family

There are a lot of Pieternella Wielemakers in Koudekerke, in various timeframes! Surely you know more, like the name of her husband and the approximate time of birth. That will give us some indications.

And can you please not use only capital lettering? It doesn't read very pleasantly....

My family tree indicates that Jacobus van der Puije, Governor of Elmina, Gold Coast, in 1780, son of William van der Puije from Zeeland, born in 1703, is my great, great, great, grandfather. Jacobus had a son Peter with a local lady, Ayaley Ablah. Peter later became Commandant of Birecco. The van der Puije family in Ghana now is very huge and we are eager to trace our ancestry as far as possible. I would therefore be extremely grateful to get more information about my ancestor Jacobus van der Puije.

I did not have the marriage record for Huibert Lablans and Hendrika Daalmeijer/Daalmeyer. Thank you. I do have the marriage records for their daughter Maria Lablans and Marinus Johannes Bakker, for Willem Baas & Elisabeth vanEenennaam, for Jan VerBurg and Stoffelina Eikenhout, they are three of my Dutch great-grandparents.

Question: Were there surviving children of Huibert & Hendrika, besides Maria?

Question: What are the earliest origins of these family names in the Netherlands?

I am willing to share any information I do have on these families.
