Hi--
I am not very experienced at genealogical research, but have information on a Dutch ancestor who emigrated to New Amsterdam in the 17th century. The information I have is summarized below.
I am in Amsterdam now, and will be visiting pretty regularly for work over the next year, so this is an opportunity to see if I can find some information on this ancestor before he emigrated. I have this Monday free to visit an archive. Would it be better to start at the regional archive in Utrecht, or at the Amersfoort local archive? I want to go to Amersfoort anyway to see the town and take pictures, and can do that Sunday.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
