De Beeck family Flemish Church Noord Holland

De Beeck family Flemish Church Noord Holland

Surnames: De Beeck, Gerrits
I am descended from Abraham De Beeck and Geetruji Gerrits who are recorded marrying Jan 4 1640 in the Flemish Church. I assume the Flemish Church is in Amsterdam because Abraham and Geertruji's two children were recorded as being born in Amsterdam. Their son Isack was specifically recorded in the Dutch Reformed Noorderkerk. What I would like to know is what exactly the Flemish church is. What is their history and Denomination? Where can I find Flemish church records? I would also like to know the specifics of Abraham and Geertruji's marriage as I have only seen an indexed version. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks. Cathy

Hello Cathy,

I did some research on these names. But I cannot answer your questions, but I found their official bann (intention) to marriage on December 17, 1639 in Amsterdam.
I cannot even read the record, because it is very old Dutch.
The only I can read is the age of Abraham. He was on that date, 29 years old.
On the top of this record you see the date: 17 December 1639.
After the intention to go marry, the official marriage was about 2 weeks later. That correspondents with your date, January 4, 1640.

The second part is the intention of their marriage.
Abraham de Beek and Geertruijt Gerrits.
