During my research of the Rhinesmith lineage, I have established a direct line to Johannes Reinschmitt, Reinschmidt(?), born 1728 in "Germany", emigrated to the New World in 1756, married Susannah Zimmerman. Founded the Rhinesmith dynasty in Penns. Realize that Germany, in those days, constituted a vast area including the Netherlands. I have been haunting the German boards with no success, so am going from Deutsch to Dutch. Would Johannes be more apt to be Dutch than Deutsch? Like to verify surname spelling and country of origin. Any help gratefully received.
