van den Heuvel -- Uden-- 1662--present-looking for living descendants
I am searching for living van den Heuvel descendants from UDEN, as well as information about all van den Heuvels living/or deceased from Uden/USA. The list below contains the names as I have them. Re: van den Heuvel -- Uden-- 1662--present-looking for living descendants
I am researching the surnames: Giesbers and Hornke. Just was wondering if you had any information on these surnames. My gm name was Anna(Annie) Giesbers, and she married John C. Hornke. Lived in the Little Chute area also. Hope I am not bothering you.
THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE Mary

Re: van den Heuvel -- Uden-- 1662--present-looking for living descendants
Well, I think you have a birthyear wrong, I'm quite sure Antonius b 8 Nov 1935- this is not correct. It might be 1835 but not 1935. I am a VanDenHeuvel and my great grandfather came from Uden. His name was Martin or Martinus VanDenHeuvel and was born 1813. The farthest I have been able to go back is his father, Jan F VanDenHeuvel born 1766. I am actually leaving for HOlland tomorrow though and may have more information when I return.

Re: van den Heuvel -- Uden-- 1662--present-looking for living descendants
My great grandmother was Hendrina van den Heuvel. She was born in Boekel, North Brabant, Netherlands on February 10, 1841 and died in Newport, Washington on April 1, 1924.
She married Francis van der Wijst (Frank VanderWeyst) on May 3, 1872 in Boekel.
They had six sons, two of whom died in the Netherlands.
They arrived in the US with their four living sons on April 9, 1891 on the SS Veendam. They lived in Little Chute, Wisconsin, and Mayhew Lake, Minnesota.
They homesteaded alongside their son, John VanderWeyst in Hollandville, Blaine County, Montana. After a storm in 1922 destroyed all the crops, they moved with John and his family to Newport, where they died.
For their 50th Wedding Anniversary, Hendrina received a letter from her sister, Anna. I am trying to find more information about Anna.
Her father was Hendricus van den Heuvel and her mother was Petronella Verriett.

Re: van den Heuvel -- Uden-- 1662--present-looking for living descendants
Some van den Heuvel families in Milwaukee used the local German press for their family's death notices: Albert (Jun 1926), Plenntje / Pluentje (Aug 1906), and an Edward (Mar 1922). There are also a couple of van der Heuvel entries fround in "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950).
