Trying to find the source of my last name. VanEngen/ vanIngen

Surnames: VanEngen, vanIngen
Hello. When my great Grandfather, Klazinus Wilhelmus VanEngen/vanIngen came to the United States and settled in the state of Michigan, I always wondered exactly where my last name started. The correct spelling is vanIngen. When Klazinus came to the United States, the spelling got changed to VanEngen. I was told there is a village called Ingen in Gelderland. Is there anyone who would be willing to help me trace my roots back to that village? I would be very grateful for any assistance that is available. I live in the United States and don't speak Dutch. I can provide additional information on older generations if needed. I look forward to hearing from someone soon.

Thanking you in advance,
Jodi VanEngen Walder

Thank you Rian for your reply. I'm hoping to find the name of either the founder of the village or the name of a family member that I can trace back to me and my family. Do you know where I would look for that information?
