Hello. When my great Grandfather, Klazinus Wilhelmus VanEngen/vanIngen came to the United States and settled in the state of Michigan, I always wondered exactly where my last name started. The correct spelling is vanIngen. When Klazinus came to the United States, the spelling got changed to VanEngen. I was told there is a village called Ingen in Gelderland. Is there anyone who would be willing to help me trace my roots back to that village? I would be very grateful for any assistance that is available. I live in the United States and don't speak Dutch. I can provide additional information on older generations if needed. I look forward to hearing from someone soon.
Thanking you in advance,
Jodi VanEngen Walder
