I can't find anything on the US side to prove that Cornelius, son of Jacob Moermond and Maria Susanna van Driel, was married to Hendrika de Waaij.
As I mentioned before, there are only few vital records of Cincinnati before 1884.
However, there is the 1870 census where Cornelius is living with his step uncle Marinus van Driel (wife Cornelia de Waaij)
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-12401-36870-57?... And Cornelia's sister Hendrika de Waaij (born Dreischor 31 Aug 1848) left for the US in 1870, as stated on the population registration 1860 - 1870 of Dreischor, province of Zeeland (The Netherlands).
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1971-30812-12748-59... And there is the death of a Henricka Moermond, Cincinnati 08 Nov 1875, aged 27
https://drc.libraries.uc.edu/bitstream/handle/2374.UC/610460... So it all makes sense.....
However, I came upon the following site:
http://www.gase.nl/InternettreeUSA/b1144.htm#P48238As far as I can tell, the dates and events mentioned here are correct and I could verify them, with again the exception of the vital records of Cincinnati / Hamilton County up to 1884.
Here Cornelius was first married to a Johanna van Driel, and Jacob and Jennie were their children.
But then you would think that this Johanna is related to Marinus van Driel, where Cornelius was living is 1870.
I could find no proof of any Johanna van Driel related to Marinus, cousin. niece, nothing.
I will contact the owner of this site, since he is Dutch. Maybe he can verify the dates of the Cincinnati vital records as well.
Kind regards,
Marianne
