Hello,

This is probably Aron Aben Gabaij.

Date certificate: October 20, 1820 in Amsterdam, North-Holland, The Netherlands.
Given name: Aron Aben Gabaij.
Birthdate: October 19, 1820 at 11 p.m.
Faher: Abraham Aben Gabaij, occupation sheet hawker.
Mother: Esperansa Vintura
They lived on the Achtergracht number 61(?? not sure) in Amsterdam.

A copy of the original civil birth certificate is attached.

You can call him Gabay or Gabaij; Either way there is no one in census records in NY with that name...

Why do you say that, rdpiet? There is a Henry Aben Gabay in NY census records, for he is my gggrandfather and I've got many entries from NYC for him from 1850 on.
