Aardappel/Ardapple Family
I'm looking to make connections with my family in the United States, with our ancestors in the Netherlands. My 3rd great grandfather Enno Aardappel was born in September 7, 1832 in Leens, De Marne, Groningen, Netherlands.(He also went by the name Henry and Andrew while living in the USA)
I don't have much hard evidence with proof beyond that. I may have his parents name but I have no documents to back that up.. Any help would gratefully be appreciated..

Re: Aardappel/Ardapple Family
He was married to Sophia Hartfeil (she is German) m. nov 7, 1866 in Lafayette. They had 5 children. Enno, was the start of my family in Lafayette, Indiana. I have records of his kids, and so on.. but I don't have much that connects him to his family back in the Netherlands.
His father is Jan Simons Aardappel (b. Abt. 1798, d. Abt. 1859). I don't know much more than that.

Re: Aardappel/Ardapple Family
This is the first I'm seeing his birth record, how cool!!!!. Is the site you linked part of ancestry? It's very cool looking the document itself, I cannot download it however.
I'm just looking for information like this birth record that links the family of Enno with his parents and siblings in the Netherlands. I'll have to do some translation work on this to make sure the dates and names match up.. Thank you sooo much!!!

Re: Aardappel/Ardapple Family
Hi,
I could download the birth record, it is attached.
I have seen that Enne have had 5 siblings with the names Willem, Ietje, Grietje, Gerhard and Simon. I have also seen that Willem, Grietje and Ietje went to North America in 1861.
