Ta' Braxia Cemetery records & civil death certificates

I am trying to locate an internment record for a British citizen who died in Malta in 1890. She is buried at Ta' Braxia cemetery and I'm told that the Registers of Burials in Ta' Braxia cemetery are held at the Addolorata Cemetery in Malta. I have been unable to locate contact information for this cemetery. I appreciate any information about who I can contact to obtain this burial information.

Also, does anyone know if a civil death certificate would have been filed for a British citizen who died in Malta at that time? I have a copy of the death register filed by the Army Chaplains but I'm wondering if a civic death certificate might contain the cemetery burial location.

Hi Moira,
In short, yes, a civil death certificate would have been issued. BMD register commenced in 1863. You will get a copy of the certificate from Births Deaths and Marriages in Malta. website easy to use. Regards, John
