Do you know where in Luxembourg your Genglers came from? Mine Gengler relatives originate in Reichling. In fact there is still a Gengler relative living in the original RATHS house that our RATHS ancestor either built or bought in 1656.

I have just started the GENGLER line. I do not know whre they came from. I did makes some copies of a Will in Washington Coutny the other day which lists the children of Nicholas/Nikolas GENGLER.

Interestingly I still have Gengler relatives living in Luxembourg. Indeed an elderly lady, Marie Gengler, lives in the original RATHS house in Reichlange which our common ancestors first owned as early as 1656.

Haven't been researching this line for some time.

I have only been able to take my Gengler line back to Stephen Gengler b 1715. I am descended from Stephen's second wife Anna Maria Lucius d 1784. Do you have Stephen in your tree? Or information his son Joannes Stephanus Gengler wife Clara Thilmani/Thilman?

My maiden name is Gengler also.... I am doing research on my lineage.... and I am just starting out... my grandparents were both born in the NYC area in the early 1900's and have informed us that family was originally from from Luxemburg.... any info would be greatly appreciated @

Hi, gosh its been a long time since I wrote that message and I can't remember what I wrote other then that my maiden name was Gengler. Yes, my Gengler ancesters were from Luxembourg too. I am decended from Adam Gengler 1798-1851 and Anna Katherine Kaber 1806-1969. They were from Everling or Everlange, Lux. They settled and are buried in Wisconsin. They had (that I know of) nine children Katherine, Paulus (my ggrandfather), Johann, A.M., Anna Marguerite, Peter Nicolas, Margareth, Adam and John Peter. This is a long shot -
In the 1930 Census there is a Robert and Mary Edwards living in Delpho Ohio. I found death records for a Robert and Mary (Gengler) Edwards in Delphos, Ohio. Could this be the same people? Now the reason I am asking, In the 1930 Census in Delphos City, Van Wert County, Ohio there is listed a Robert and Mary Edwards with 3 grandchildren. Robert is listed as the Chief of Police. I am interested in the grandchildren (Andry,Betty Jean and Mary Ellen Vorndam). Trying to find a connection. My maiden name is Vorndam. Wondering if you have any information that may help me.
