Any idea when they married? The marriage records generally have a lot of information about the parents of the bridal couple. Have you looked at the Decennales that are online at the Mormon Church's website

Good Morning,
The name has to be seperated into two words Heider and Scheid:
I have found the following explanations for Scheid:
a) Water Divide line (as Heiderscheid is located on the top of a hill)
b) Grove or wood (celtic origin)
For Heider Heide I don't really know, may be
a) Heide = a Pagan
b) an area covered with heath plants
c) ... ?
Best regards
Rene

She was married to Nicholas Birckel from Wiltz, Luxembourg. We have it from their son, Jean Pierre Birckel's birth certificate. She was born January 30, 1845 at Haut Clocher. Beyond that I'm just stuck on her.

I thought she was born in Luxembourg. According to Wikipedia, Haut Clocher seems to be in the Lorraine area of France. Was that an error?
Was she supposed to have been married in Luxembourg or in the US?
