I'm sorry that I have nothing on Barbara Gentilini. I have looked through the Ellis Island records and found a Babera Gentilini which is the one you must have found. She does not appear in the Luzerne Co. 1910 census, nor does she appear in the 1920 census, although there are Gentilinis in both. I think she must have married shortly after she arrived in the U.S. This was the case with so many unmarried Tyrolean women of her age. My husband's aunt went to the Tyrol to recruit women of marriageable age to come to the U.S. Older Tyroleans frowned upon intermarriage with non-Tyroleans. So it may be that a marriage was arranged for Barbara even before she left Austria.
